Where can you find wedding gifts in any town, what kind of stores?

I need a last minute gift for a wedding. I want something like a frame, certificate holder, or something else that's meant to remember the wedding or relationship. What kind of store should I be looking for so I can find it locally (San Diego, so many options). Is it a wedding dress store, catering, card stores?

I find Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond are great stores for last minute wedding presents.  You might try checking their registry, those are stores that most people register at as well, so you can get them something they really want.

Catering?  That's odd.

Anyway, you might be surprised what you can find at the local drug store.  Though, the thought of someone running into Rite-Aid to try and find me a gift is a bit unsettling.  (Maybe that's how we ended up with a generic $5 MP3 player... hmmm.)

I second Bed Bath & Beyond.  It's hard to go wrong there.  And there are so many fun things that they may not have registered for, I doubt they'd get a double.  For instance, I never would have bought an ice cream maker, yet we got one!  And I'm excited to try it.

The bride and groom will likely get a bunch of frames from people, and it's so hard to know what kind of frame they'll like, I would pass on that. Honestly, what's wrong with just giving cash (get crisp new bills from the bank) in a nice card with a well thought out and meaningful message written in it?  I don't think your gift will necessarily help them remember their relationship or the occasion-- they'll have rings on their fingers for that! Or, get them a gift card to one of the stores they've registered at. Bed Bath and Beyond, Macy's, Crate & Barrel, or Target are all pretty popular. You can check those sites' online wedding registries for the name of the bride/groom and see what they registered for. Or, you can even purchase gifts off the registry online and have it shipped to their house. A lot of brides/grooms appreciate having the gift shipped to their home because then they don't have to worry about hauling it home from the wedding themselves. It's convenient for everyone.

Things Remembered is a good store for this sort of thing.  They are in virtually every mall in the country, and they'll even engrave the gift for you with the bride and groom's names and wedding date for a personal touch.
