Where can you get Car insurance for a learner Driver?

I have a car and i am taking lessons to drive. I want to get insured so i can learn im my car. What company can i get insured with??

I work for an insurance broker & you can get insurance as long as (obviously) there's another person on the policy who holds a full driving licence with experience.

The best place that I have found is http://www.InsuranceEasy.org this site makes it pretty easy to get multiple quotes from hundreds of insurance companies by requesting quotes through the 5 or 6 free on line insurance quoting services that they provide links to in their auto insurance section of their site.

OK you cannot get insurance with a learners permit, you are not to be held responsible until you have a drivers license that does not require anyone else to be in the car with you.

So you would have to be on the policy with you r parent or guardian until you have your actual drivers license not a permit.

norwich union are great for learners, my gf is on my car insu,,doesnt cost much either was only 15 pound per month on top of what im paying

As long as you have a provisional the insurance company will ask which type of licence you have.

Norwichunion.co.uk is by far the best, they also take into account how long you've had the provisional. Especially when you pass they're the only company that'll give you a discount.

Eg, with any other insurer when you pass your test you have 0 yrs experience. With Norwich Union say for eg, you had your provision for a yr, 2, 3 etc before you pass they take that which gives you bigger discount!
