I love racing bikes and how they look, I'm dying to buy one but can you get these bikes in different sizes? I've never seen them in any other size on the street.

This is a racing bike in case:

  1. google it

  2. I got my first racing bike at 13, it was a Gitane Tour de France.  Lightest bike you could buy in 1968.  Still have it.  Something about the feel of Reynolds 531 -- wait that was then -- the bike you have on that link looks great for an entry level machine.  Go for it.

All the bikes you are looking for come in a variety of frame sizes you just need to go to your local bike shop and find out what frame size fits you.  I hope you are done growing -- or after your next growth spurt you will be buying another bike.  Nothing wrong with that-- just more expensive.

  3. There are some road bikes aimed at younger age , see this one as an example:

But, depending on your height, you may just get one for adults. Yes, they have different sizes depending on the seat tube length, from 49 cm (small) to 61 cm (extra large).

I would wildly guess 49 cm would fit someone just about 5', but you really have to visit a shop to see what size would fit you.

  4. I have come across them before, I found a good site once (whilst looking for one for my son) but I lost it!!!!

Have a look at this though, apparently you can customise them:

If I find the other place I will let you know.

    Best of luck.

  5. They should come in different sizes.

  6. Most bikes are available in a range of sizes - ask the retailer, or go to the manufacturer's website.

  7. I think you would do fine with just a regular road-bike (it has the same exact look as the road-racer you posted)

I first got my road-bike when I was thirteen, before freshman year of high-school. It has lasted me a very long time.

I suggest visiting some local bike shops and try searching there. The new Trek 1.2 is a great road-bike for starters, and you can always add upgrades no matter what bike you get. I warn you, road-bicycles can be expensive. A good bike should cost you about $500 as a minimum.
