Where can you get a thick sheet of steel?

where can i get a thick sheet of steel ? and is steel bullet proff for example if you shoot a bullet on steel will that bullet bounce right off the steel ?

You will NOT be able to get a sheet of thick steel at HD or Lowes.  You will need to check with a metal fabrication shop in your area.  If you are getting this to test the effectiveness of its stopping a bullet, don't try it.  If it does stop it, there could be a ricochet.  This most likely won't kill you, since the dumb ones seldom die.  It may kill an innocent bystander though.
