My fiancee and I are applying for a marriage lisence and one of the things we need is a translation of his Italian passport and Identity card. I called over to the Vital Stats office but the lady said she has no idea where to go for it. Does anyone know where we could get this done at? We live in South Jersey. Thanks!

  1. You have to go to the Italian embassy and pay the translation in which they'll  put a sign and a stamp.

  2. You will probably need an official translation and have it notarized.  Ask a notary who they can accept, don't just go to some body's Italian-speaking cousin. There will probably be translators listed in the yellow Pages.
