and how do you convert the real lenght brerh etc to the scale of 1/72

  1. Converting scale is easy...  For 1/72,  just divide the measurement of the real thing by 72.

    For example, a World War II-era long-hull U.S. Essex-class carrier is 888 feet long.  Divide that by 72, and the 1/72 model of that carrier would be 12.3333 feet long.
