  1. Photoshop can be purchased online, in stores and through colleges. If you are a student go to your school or local college and buy a student version. It is a full licensed copy but a lot cheaper. You can also do this through the adobe web site.

    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/...

    http://www.adobe.com/education/products/...

By the way ladyaibrean is incorrect. The educational or "student" version is a "FULL" version and it has no effect on whether or not you sell your pictures.

  2. Photoshop is quite expensive, unless you use a dodgy download site and pick up a cracked version

if you want a free, powerful, alternative to photoshop, use 'the gimp'

    http://www.gimp.org/

its as good as photoshop and has all the tweaks and twiddles, but is free

  3. If you plan on selling what you make then the educational version will not apply. You can get the trial from Adobe or buy it online. You can also get Photoshop Elements a significantly cheaper product ($139) http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshope... and it's the skimmed down version of Photoshop. It really depends on what you want to do whether or not that would be an option for you.

  4. Google it.

  5. How about www.adobe.com and get the free trial?

If you decide to buy it shop around (online) to get the best price.

    Good luck!

  6. You can get it on the internet, shipped to your home, and installed via a CD ROM from http://www.amazon.com :

I'd send you a link, but there's many different photoshop versions. Ranging from the simple, rather in-expensive elements 6 all the way to the 750$ photoshop CS3, You didn't indicate a budget. So i can't send you a link. You might have a free trial, but the software is by no means free. Here are some versions for you:

    http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-El...

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DMB...

purchase one of the two, so you can learn the ropes of photoshop.

  7. You can download it from Adobe's website, but not for free (there are free trials available, but you won't be able to keep them forever).

The newest editions are Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. I believe Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 is coming out soon as well. CS3 is better for advanced users and is much more expensive. For a beginner, I suggest you get Elements.

You can also buy the disk online or in stores. I've bought a copy from Best Buy before. They're also avaiable on Amazon.com. If you're a student, you might be able to purchase it with a student discount at Journeyed.com.
