Where can you get the best deal on contact lenses in the U.S.?

Question

I looked on 1800 contacts website and they're $20 per box for my style. My eye doctor only gave me two boxes (my insurance only covered $60 worth) so that means they're $30 each at my doctor. I know walmart sells them for about $16 per box, but would I need to pay for an eye exam in order to purchase them?

I had my eyes examined last in January 2008, so I'm good for a year.

You did not specify which lens you are looking for, but I have used http://www.clearvisioncontacts.com,  or AC Lens, as they seem to be the cheapest.
