Where can you get the fish??

where can you buy the fish to do a foot pedicure at home and where can I learn about these fish

This was just on some talk show this morning.  Those fish eat alge and what they are actually doing is eating the callouses and stuff off your feet.  Don't know what they were called but I'd like to try this too someday.

garra ruffa is a believe a protected species.. so you'd have to go to one of those spas to find them.. even then you couldn't take them home

I heard about these on the radio, it kinda creeps me out, but i believe the company is called Dr Fish..maybe look them up online, im sure they would have information on the fish for you.

They are called garra rufa and you can order them online, but since there is such a big deal going on about them right now, they are all sold out all the places that used to have them and there are waiting lists for them.  Not to mention which, they are all imported from Asia and you have to use a transhipper to buy them and they are extremely expensive.  You need 100 fish just to do one decent pedicure and it'd be a lot cheaper just to go to a regular spa and pay a human to give you a pedicure than to buy even 10 of the fish.  

But my guppies nibble at my fingers and arms every time I do water changes in my fishtank.  I could put them in the bathtub for you if you like.  :p
