I am about to become homeless. I am currently suffering from depression, which has caused me to lose my previous job, and I am just not ready to go back in the workplace and be an employee right now. My family are unwilling to help me. I need to figure out where I'm going to go in a month or so, and how I will be able to have food and shelter while I recuperate.

  1. YMCA.

  2. Start researching NOW, because every shelter is full nowadays.  Check the Salvation Army, Red Cross, YMCA, local churches. Also, look into a job that lets you work from home. Or start your own business.

Contact the local agencies in your neighborhood as well as talking to priest or reverend. Local social services. If due to some miracle the depression you where having lifted just enough so that you would be able to find work that was meaningful to you what would be different, if that happened?

You are showing incredible strength in difficult times...

  4. Most cities have homeless shelters which are operated by the Salvation Army.  Some churches also have homeless outreach ministries.

If you will email me your city I will help you get in contact with the right people.

Father, I thank you for this young person and ask You to bring blessings into their life.  May You be glorified by their life.  amen

  5. Salvation Army would be a good start. Good Luck kid. It's rough but I've been there and you'll pull threw.

  6. Parents. Other relatives. YMCA (I think they charge a bit of rent though). Your local homeless shelter and shameless labor exploitation center's "Work you all day and pay you with a sandwich and a blanket program."

  7. pine street inn
