  1. There is a Really Really Free Market on the Third Saturday of every month. The 24th of May is the next Free Market at Penn Square in downtown Lancaster!

  2. If its wool of some sort, The cancer clinic @ the Owen Sound Hospital has a basket where people can knit a square while they wait for their treatment. The Squares are made into coverlets. Contact the Canadian Cancer Society in Owen Sound

  3. look up crafts, wish i had some wool, just have a consignment store

  4. Well im sooo into the enviroment too, im willing to help.

Well you could either donate them, but the books can be recycled.

  5. at present March of Dimes,Diabetes Association,Salvation Army

  6. People used to recycle old sweaters and rags by making rugs.  They are usually loops that are then sewn into coils - does that make sense..  Books can be recyled by making lampshades.  You can always use pages of great books to make wallpaper or even insulation.  Shoes present a problem because they are designed to be rough and tough.... I'm not sure where these can be sold or if there is even anything a market.

  7. Look up a freecycle group in your area under yahoo groups. It is just people giving away stuff to other people who need it. totally cool....no money trading allowed

  8. I'm not sure where you can recycle them, but I know what you can do with some of them.  To find out where you can recycle them, I would look up in the yellow pages for recycling centers, or check on google maybe.  But, you can donate some of you old toys, shoes, clothes, stuffed animals, and stuff like that to orphanages, and shelters.  Oh ya, and instead of just recycling your newspaper, try collecting it, and then bringing it up to an animal shelter.  They can use them as beds.  You can also take up stuffed animals and old rags for them.  It is very nice of you to try recycling stuff like that as well!! You are helping the earth.
