Question:

Where can you recycle shampoo bottles?

i was reading the back of my shampoo bottle...and it said it could be recycled. do you just bring it to the same recycling center as all the other glass and plastic bottles? or does it need to be separated?

  1. You should check for the number in the triangle, usually on the bottom of the bottle.  If the number is a 1 or a 2, you can toss the bottle in with other recyclable plastic, such as soda bottles and milk jugs.

    Some areas have facilities to recycle the higher numbers, and if you are in such an area, the recycling bins will be clearly labelled as such.

    It helps to rinse all recycled materials.


  2. As far as im aware it doesn't need to be separated.  Make sure it's rinced out properly and the cap it taken off.

  3. As far as I know according to the little number in the recycle symbol, shampoo bottles, laundry soap bottles etc can just be put in the blue box or in with the rest of the plastic bottles. Way to go green!!

  4. yeah throw it in the blue recycle bin, as far as i know you cant get $ for it

  5. Every one in America should be required to recycle by law.  If they can't agree on the war, the illegal immigrants, or global warming, at least they could do this.
