Where can you use coordinates?

On a map if you want to show someone where something is on the map. Like in world atlas books, if you look in the back it has coordinates to where to look on which page.

what type of coordinates do you mean?

there are coordinates on an XY graph.  they can be in degrees or radians.

there are spherical coordinates which you use in three dimensional measurements.

there are latitute/longitudinal coordinates in reference to the globe.

On a map, or like on boats and areoplanes to find out where other boats/planes are. And when playing BATTLESHIPS!!!
