  1. Buying the sheep and boarding it would just be a temporary fix.  If you are going to continue to work on the farm you are going to have to accept the fact that raising and selling animals is the way farms stay in business.  If not , you are going to keep being broken hearted.  You can't buy them all.  If you can't bring yourself to understand this you should find a different kind of work.  Working in a zoo or an animal shelter might be better work for you.  I wish you luck and am sorry that you are having this problem.

  2. At the local sheep-port on Long Island they are now boarding sheep number 4 destination Baltimore. You can board the nearest sheep if you have your boarding pass and hand luggage ready and have cleared customs. Baaa - - - !

  3. why dont you ask them if you can keep it at the farm?? just buy it and maybe YOU can build the fence for it n everything instead of them n show them that you will take care of it n stuff...

  4. Dude, I've said it before and I'll say it again: You're NOT getting a sheep! I thought you still wanted chickens??? I'm confused....what do you want? Make up your mind, for goodness' sakes! Hehehe....why would your neighbors get mad at you for having a sheep? They weren't mad about the chickens....Oh wait.....

    Hehe, I'm so funny....

Oh, and I agree with Janie S.

  5. Simple, just call the local zoning board and ask them.

  6. If you have a large enough yard, you should be fine. The size needed for a medium to large dog is enough. Keep the area super clean and nice and no one will complain about it. That means you must clean up after it 2-3 times daily. Offer your neighbors with gardens, free manure and even haul it for them.

Walk your sheep like a dog, keep it clean, even kinda dressed up like a bandanna or something and show it off. The local kids and the neighbors will fall in love with her for sure, especially if she is an adorable lamb. Kids will flock to you and mothers love that, get the kids out and doing something way cool. Kids like to help, too. Double check local laws and keep up with shots and vet visits and no one should cause problems. If all your neighbors love you and your "baby" they will fight for you.

If you must, look in the phone book for farms. To find one real close, call your County Building and talk to the people who work with farms, like the Agricultural Co-Operative Extension Service to find close farms to board your sheep. If you don't break a law and cause a problem, if your sheep is happy and healthy, you have all the right to keep her with you.
