That's not a moped, that's a scooter, an old Italian one to be precise.

Scooters tend to have a pretty rough life, with minimal mainitenance and lots of thrashing.

You're much better off buying a new 'retro' styled scooter, like a V-Moto Milan:

That is a Vespa and they are making retro style scooters.Also there is Genuine they make a scooter that style. They are also owned by Piaggio as is Vespa. Scooter are not usually beat up bad but  people  do not sell them. They do not require anymore than normal maintenance.

What you want is a Stella.  It is a brand new reproduction of the older Vespa scooters.  They are imported by a company called Genuine Scooters.  You can buy one in every state except California.  See link below.
