My dad told me a story, that back in 1978 he saw this guy jump in front of a car and get splattered. But I want to see if he was telling the truth. I know where it supposedly "happened", and how old the driver was who hit the guy.

Anyways, where could I prove that (other than my local newspaper on the web - they charge a fee for anything before, like 2005)?

  1. you can try the local college library and see their files--microfiche and newspapers; these go way back.  best.

  2. be +ve its better to investigate the present problems than scraching old ash. I'm wondering what free time U have kindly come to me and do some of my stuff so that.......I could get some relax.......khiiiiiii heeeeeee khiiiiii

  3. Try public records, or look up police records from that time period.  Your local Library may also have old newspapers on microfilm.  I'm sure it made the papers.

  4. If the death was in fact a suicide, that would make it a matter under the purview of that community's local medical examiner or coroner. A phone call to that agency should produce verification of the event, assuming you have the date it happened and the location.
