I teach a preschool class of 4-5 year olds. Not all parents can afford snowpants and boots but I would like my students to be able to play in the snow.

  1. CRAIGSLIST!  some free stuff

  2. Some alternative sources.

Do you have a "Freecycle Group" in your area? They are on the internet as freecycle.org and that's where people offer goods that they no longer need, but are too good to throw away, and so offer them FOR FREE to anybody who can use them. All you have to do is pick them up.

Here (in Australia) the groups allow you to post "wanted" for items too. Usually you have to make a few offers before you post a wanted, but they might make an exception in the case of a Charitable Group, or reason.

Another method would be to post notices in your local primary schools asking for parents there with those items that are too small for their own to donate them.

You could contact a local charity group and see if they can help out.

  3. chuirches do or go to good wiil and you can get them for a small price

  4. try freecycle.com..... you can give and get free things

  5. Churches usually can help you out the best of all. Especially if you're a member of a specific church. Just ask for the help  and maybe a donation in a box at your preschool and/or the Church. Hopefully other teachers and other parents will drop a couple of dollars in and you could go to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army.

You sound like a wonderful preschool teacher, I wish you the best of luck!

  6. try catholic charities

  7. freecycle.com

or ask your local goodwill for donations for your children - you might be surprised.  Or you could buy them there - goodwill is pretty reasonable!
