  1. Oh my, she can't look for it herself?  Well, to get her started....Boys & Girls Club, hospital (they have volunteer greeters, volunteers who help visitors find their way around, etc., your local library probably has volunteer positions, your local humane society ALWAYS needs volunteers (that's a big one at our house, my daughter has volunteered with them since last summer), almost any youth organization such as Girl Scouts (Call your local Council office, they'll be listed in the phone book), check with your church, try the local Optimist clubs, betcha if you either look in your local Sunday paper or call the newspaper office they'll be able to give you some organizations to try as well.

  2. Mabye your neighbors? Helping them out with chores, mabye if they are older. Or she can volunteer her time at an all-day camp or activity club for smaller children, or even join an organization for just that.

  3. I'd suggest looking at the Parks and Rec center at your local city hall.  I'd also suggest she get some experience as a candy striper at the hospital or nursing home. Many elderly have lost eyesight, and would love someone to come read to them. there's a double benefit here -  they enjoy a story they can no longer read, and your daughter learns compassion, and perhaps some good literature.

  4. Well it depends on where you live. I would suggest a boys and girls club or a homeless/hungry feeding program. Just look for some programs on your local area.

  5. try babysitting
