I'm currently a junior college student and I've been working in a pro shop at a public golf course for 2 years and I'm sick of dealing with the general public. In general, I don't really understand people, so I'd like to find a job where I don't have to deal with them. I'm okay working with fellow co-workers, but dealing directly with customers is a terrible thing. Any good job ideas for me?

  2. "Back Office" personnel don't normally deal with the public.  These people are the computer savvy people or the accountants.  People that are good with numbers.  I worked in Finance for years as a lending dept. manager and dealt w/the public on a daily basis.  Then went to a "back office" position in which I balance the books, handle the company's investments, process payroll, balance taxes, etc. and very rarely deal with the public.  I love it.

  3. I've worked with the public since I was in high school (I'm now 37) and every year they get worse.

You could be a miner, a factory worker, or an accountant.
