  1. Feed store

  2. You do realize that it's not going to stay a baby duck for very long, yes?

  3. local feed store be careful if you have raccoons that got one of ours last year and we had to build a much stronger en closer to keep them out

  4. At a feed store or perhaps a farm...

  5. You could locate a breeder in your area, check with local farms or feed stores, go to a local fair (if appilcable), or check an online sales site like craigslist or E-bay

  6. Well, you have to raise more than one, because they get lonely.  Three or more is best.  Also, they have to have a place outside to live as they love grass, and they'll need a shallow tray of water until they have all their feathers - if they are being raised without a mother they can drown as they don't have her oils to protect them.  And beware - ducks dig!  Sounds mad but our garden is full of holes from them digging.

Its sort of the wrong time of year for people to be giving them away, but you can still try and get a few free by going on freecycle.  Other than that, try advertising in pet stores, feed shops, agri-stores to see if any has some to sell.

If you do get some ducklings you can't just kick them out when they turn adults, they won't survive in the wild so ideally, you'd have to keep them for their whole life or find a decent home for them.

(But you are right, they are wonderful creatures!  I can watch ours all day!  And they carry on being cute even when they are adults, so I do recommend getting a little pond and keeping them - you'll get eggs too!)

  7. If your space is limited then forget it. Ducks can also be very dirty.
