  1. look up irish storys on the net, or buy books like the children of lir, under the hawthorn tree, wildflower girl etc. they are full of history but have  nice stories to them 2!!

    hopen this helps\\!!

  2. There is a great book, beautifully illustrated for children called the History of Ireland and it's published by O'Brien Press, a company based in Dublin.

  3. Marita Conlon McKenna, Joan O'Neill are popular childrens' authors of stories that deal with many different aspects of Irish history..they are good stories and easy to read and the Bright Sparks (Attic Press) series also have similar books by different authors..even though they are fictional stories, they give good ideas of the periods in history they deal with.  Next time you are in Ireland, visit the museum of country life in Turlough, Co Mayo..you'll love it:)
