  2. Check out Ebay. Seriously. If you are patient you will find a pretty darn nice receiver for potentially a lot less than a new one.

    Of course it will not have a warranty...

    Otherwise I would just look at the usual places circuit city best buy...

    All the reputable online retailers should have some good stuff too. Check out JRs. or Crutchfield. Either way I still recommend you go to a real store though, to at least look at the one you pick out so you know what you are getting.

  4. Look for clearance items at you local electronics store. New models came in for the holidays and I'm sure they are droping the prices on their older models. Don't go too cheap though. We sometimes suffer from upgrade-itis and it won't be too far down the line when you will want to get something better. A receiver with a couple of HDMI inputs and outputs might be better in the long run. Brands like Denon Yamaha or Onkyo. Good luck.
