Question:

Where could my work go for a Christmas meal in Birmingham, UK?

My colleagues and I would like to go somewhere for a meal and entertainment (if possible) in or near Birmingham (UK!) in December. Last year we went to the Glee Club but it was appauling as the food was disgusting, cold and cheap and the entertainment wasn't the best. This year we were thinking about going to a masked ball but I don't think it would be easy to hold a conversation with my drunk colleagues wearing a mask knowing I'd spent over £50 to go there. Does anyone have any suggestions for a place worth going to that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg but we can book in the next week or so???!!

  1. There are some great restaurants in china town in brum.

  2. Try the chinese quarter. the rice is something else! (maybe cocaine - it felt like!). Should still be there, haven't been to england for a long time...many years.

  3. I was in Birmingham last weekend and we found a fab Italian restaurant called 'Locanto Picalilli' just off St. Paul's Square.

they should be able o help.

  4. There is a place near the Alpha Tower in the centre of Birmingham called Athens. It is a Greek restaurant / Italian. Not your usual Christmas kind of party but it is fantastic. They have Greek dancing and smash plates in the street. It is so much fun.

  5. Alpha tower, good suggestion.

  6. I like Yanda's idea.  Went there years ago and we had a great time.
