I saw this in Florida and it had really long forks and was not oversized. It was low to the ground and I think disc brakes. The seat looked like a net material. I was told it was very comfortable and helped people with back problems be able to ride.

  1. What you are talking about is a recumbent trike, though I don't know what you mean about the "forks".  They are either "deltas" with two wheels in the back or "tadpoles" with two wheels in the front. In either case the rider sits reclined with the pedals in front.

They are incredibly comfortable, easy to ride, corner like on rails, stop on a dime and are much faster than bikes on downhills and flats. They are also heavy, expensive and complete pigs on climbs. The lightest ones weigh nearly thirty pounds and good ones easily cost $2000 to $5000 and more.

The largest maker of trikes in the US, Catrike, is based in Florida.

  2. Not a sling seat trike, but you are going to love it:
