  1. No need to have any experience about fishing. I have the super special fish-hook. You can fish without  bait.

  2. It really matters what you're fishing for, whether in a lake, river, or ocean, as well as where the fish are on that day. Hooking a fish near the surface is lots of fun, but if the fish are holding deeper, fishing near the surface can be a waste of time.

For example, I've caught tuna at the surface one day, and 100 feet deep on another day, and in between at other times. I've done the same with bass and yellowtail, and similarly in fresh water (though not so deep) with trout.

Then, there are some fish which just hang out on the bottom no matter what. If you're fishing for halibut, whether in 20 feet or 200 feet, they'll be on the bottom.

The best advice would be to be prepared to fish at any depth the fish you're after might be at. This may mean an assortment of sinkers, light and heavy lures, or even different rods and reels. Learn to read the conditions, get reports from tackle shops or other fishermen, and do what's needed to catch fish that day.

  3. Below sea level.

  4. rivers in florida

  5. It depends greatly on what you are fishing for, but as a general rule, I would fish right on the edge of a steep drop off.  As another general rule, fish deep when it is really hot, and shallow when it is cool.
