Where did Blaze come from on Sonic the Hedgehog?

i was wondering where she came from, what she is, and what episode and/or series she came from. oh and do you remember cosmo? her and tails were so cute together. i wonder why the writers did what they did to her.

Blaze is a cat from another dimension who is best friends with Silver The Hedgehog who is also from the same dimension. She has the ability of pyrokenesis and can jump higher than most characters. She is from the game Sonic Rush. As for Cosmo, I am not shure, perhaps they killed her to give it a more dark theme maybe.
