I think answer was supurb! I think I am in trouble. Lots more work ahead. Can I put in a french drain by myself? Websites r helpful. Would serious building up of garden area stop the problem of green slime? I don't dare add mushroom soil to this mess and it has completely prevented me from trying to plant anything.

french drains are not difficult to do as long as you dont mind shoveling.i just put 3 in my backyard ,i live on a slope and all the water stops at my back door and would not run through the backyard.now it is a lot dryer.
