Question:

Where did Noah get the information about how big to make each animal cell, and how many to make, on the "ark"?

Was there an established size for, say, a Brontosaurus, and for a weasel? Did "god" send down a set of blueprints (since he knew so much about all the animals he had created) with optimum sizes for the cells, and the exact number of cells Noah would need to build? It would not have been good if Noah was full up, and then another couple of pairs of animals arrived from some far corner of the globe.

  1. God gave Noah all of the measurements of the ark and the animal cells.

  2. He didn't. The Noah myth is such utter nonsense. Think of the remoteness of Australia, New Zealand, and the islands of the Pacific. Think about the remoteness - at that time - of the two Americas. The idea of going to America to save the skunk... What drivel.

  3. Noah got all of his information from God, right down to the last centimeter

  4. Noah had a set of Immaculate Plans for his boat.  It specified everything, right down to the last detail, because "god" wanted the Tyranos, and the Zebras, and all the rest to be very happy while they drifted around, aimlessly.  Unfortunately, these plans were lost in the "great flood."

  5. From God.  Read the account.

Detailed instructions were given to Noah by God as to its size, shape, design for light and ventilation, and materials to be used for its construction.—Genesis 6:14-16.

The Bible describes a vessel about 437 feet long, with a length-to-height ratio of 10 to 1 and a length-to-width ratio of 6 to 1. (Genesis 6:15)  Noah was no shipbuilder. And remember, this was more than 4,000 years ago. Yet, the ark was built with proportions that were ideal for its function as a floating container. In fact, modern naval architects have found similar ratios suitable for structural integrity and stability on the open seas. Although the Bible does not specify the exact length of time Noah spent building the ark, the account allows for construction that took 50 or 60 years. (Genesis 5:32; 7:6)

Could the Ark Have Held All the Animals?

It is true that encyclopedias refer to over a million species of animals. But Noah was instructed to preserve only representatives of every “kind” of land animal and flying creature. Some investigators have said that just 43 “kinds” of mammals, 74 “kinds” of birds, and 10 “kinds” of reptiles could have produced the great variety of species of these creatures that are known today. The ark had about 40,000 cu m (1,400,000 cu ft) of usable space—ample for the passenger list.

A great quantity and variety of food for all these creatures, to last for more than a year, also had to be stowed away.—Genesis 6:18-21; 7:2, 3.

***Sorry if the truth hurts you trying to discount the Bible's account of the Flood of Noah.  There is the facts!  It was possible and did happen.  If you read the account you will notice that most people back then made fun of Noah and laughed too.  Those ridiculing Noah did not survive the Flood.

  6. I always ask and never get an answer fron the fundies, but I'll try again. How did Noah know about the millions of species of unicellural animals?
