Where did Quiktrip originate?

The first QuikTrip convenience store was opened by Chester Cadieux and a college friend in a small strip center in Tulsa in 1958.  The Quiktrip Corporation now operates over 325 convenience stores in 9 states.

I believe that Quiktrip originated from a company in Kansas where the QT stood for Quik n Tasty.

I have searched through a lot of web sites that deal with name origins but I can't find anything in relation to this very unusual name, sorry.
