The point is Channel 7 here is Australia has let down sooooo many sport viewers and no one seems to do anything...what a great democracy we live in you can do anything as long as you have money and the h**l with anyone who complains ...As a consumer I feel robbed..

the "gala" seemed to only last for about 5 minutes anyway. it was really not that great and kind of disappointing

I think people are a little hard on channel 7.  Personally if they were broadcasting for me it would be all Gymnastics and Handball however I recognise that they are trying to provide something to please the greatest number of people.  I suppose they didn't show much of the Gala because it isn't technically a sporting event rather an exhibition.  My complaint with the telecast is the refusal to publish a schedule so you know when a specific sport is coming up.  Its no consolation but I am hearing much the same criticisms of the international broadcasters as well.

I think there were only like, 5 gymnasts anyway. I was kind of disappointed, actually. I thought it would be every gymnast who won a medal.
