Where did that dollar go??

k its kinda hard to explain but i really want an answer to this!

3 guyz went to a restrant.. each one ordered a meal that costs $10.00 now the total for all 3 is $30.00 ((10 * 3)) and so they went to pay but the maneger decides to just take off $5.00 from the bill! so0o they would be ending up payin $25 ((30 - 5)) so the 3 of them decide to give the waitress 2 dollars tip..(( from the 5 which they got back! ))and each one would take a dollar back (( 5-2= 3)) so0o they each acually paid $9.00 for their meals .. now.. if its $9.00 * 3(the # of ppl) = 27 right?

27 + the tip for the waitress which is $2.00 = 29

now it suppose to end up with $$30.00

where did that dollar gooo???

no..  it is $25 for the food, $2 for the tip and $3 for the change

25+2+3 = 30

and that is a lousy tip..  they should have given her the entire $5.
