Yes, they finished third after beating France comfortably in the playoff for third position. Despite often copping the title of world cup chokers, they once again finished in the top four, something that no other team (including Australia, who are two-time cup winners), have managed to do. They were beaten by Australia in their semi-final - but what the Aussie supporters should acknowledge is that Australia were playing a home game which, as history repeatedly shows, is a decided advantage. The way the draw is for this year's world cup there is every possibility that the two will meet again in the semi-finals, but this time there will be no home advantage for the Wallabies.
