Why did the Peace Movement disappear? Did they change their mind about war? Could it be they only oppose Republican wars?

Their band wagon ran out of fuel - coincidentally following the news that the situation in Iraq was beginning to look more and more like a victory for the United States.

Their team lost and now they'll just go home and sulk until the next time that they can protest about the evil United States.
