  1. The first asteroid probably WAS the Earth!

The theory is that gravitational forces cause solar debris to accumulate and planets form.

  2. about 6 billion years ago when the earth was being created

  3. this question is not answerable since during the formation of the earth our planet was more or less constantly bombarded with asteroids, meteors , comets and various space debris. this went on probably for millions of years. for anyone to try to pinpoint where the first one hit would be sheer lunacy.

  4. The earth is about 4.5 billion years old.  As it has a constantly changing surface, the "where" is long gone.

One theory states that the Earth-moon system was created when a mars-sized body collided with early (smaller) Earth.  Most of debris formed the earth and a small percentage was blasted in to space where it coalesced into the Moon.

  5. It would be basically impossible to know. Asteroids have hit our planet many times. Meteorites hit daily but those are very tiny. Asteroids on the other hand are large and would wipe out millions if not billions of people if it hit in the right place like a city or the ocean (resulting in a huge tsunami). A big asteroid might hit once every few million years and have been since the solar system formed. There have been none in recorded history.
