Where did the folder "ipod photo cache" come from?

I recently discovered a folder under "My Pictures" called "ipod photo cache" (almost 3 gb!). However, I don't own an ipod and wouldn't install itunes on my machine if my life depended on it.

Where else could this folder have come from?

Check your iTunes program and find out where it's pulling your photos in from.  Basically iTunes is finding your pictures, then it converts them down for the iPod to be able to use.  After which point the iPod will then download the pictures so you can see them on your iPod.

To do this open iTunes, plug in iPod, then on one of the tabs says Pictures.  Click there and it will show you where it's getting the pictures from.

someone in your family may have downloaded i with out you knowing. or maybe your computer came with it. hope i helped:)
