  1. It seems to come from Slovakia.  I have seen references to the old Austro-Hungarian Empire and Slovakia.

  2. There is an English crest for Straka who were Lords of the Manor in Lancashire during medieval times. Some of the descendants settled in the American Colonies.

    There are sites that show ancestors from Austro-Hungary during the 1800s.

    Those that arrived in Ellis Island in the early 20th cent. came from Finland, Moravia, Czechslovakia, and Hungary.
