  1. thats a really really good question!

  2. Hmmm... I guess the toilet TAKES your c**p o.O

  3. because your refering to the toilet taking the c**p.

  4. The guy who invented toilets was named Thomas Crapper. So all forms of "c**p" come from him.

see what I did there? lol

  5. thats a good one see i always say i m going to c**p not take a c**p so i would say some kid made i up and every one followed it

  6. I don't know but - grow up

  7. The inventor of what we call the modern toilet was an Englishman named John Crapper. The term "taking a c**p" evolved fro using the Crapper device.

  8. LOL

  9. On the other hand, "Don't give me that c**p!"  Or "That's a bunch of c**p!"  To take a c**p means you are getting relieved, or taking a relief.  Getting and taking are almost the same.  But, why "c**p?"  And how did the dice game get it's name, Craps?

Now for some history for those who gave credit to Thomas Crapper:

Crapper was only a plumber with his own business who sold flush toilets.  He did not invent it.  Alexander Cummings is credited with inventing the first flush mechanism in 1775, more than 50 years before Crapper was born.  Joseph Adamson first patented the siphonic flush eight years before Crapper started business.

  10. OMG YOU ARE WEIRD!

I have had to "take a c**p"......specimen to my doctor quite a few times.

Maybe that is where it came from.

  11. haha!

Just the other day I was wondering why some people call the toilet the 'rest-room'......I mean, since when was a 'bowel movement' relaxing!?

  12. interesting..

  13. HA HA HA   :) God only know's, or doe's he even?

I guess thats another saying that no one really knows what it means aye?

    I don't think i have ever said ''I'm going to take a c**p''

me being a girl and all, but to the next person i hear say it

I am now going to ask them what they mean by that!

    That'll get em!

    LMASO @ YOU!!!!

Great question, with a lot of funny answers!

  14. not sure about the taking vs leaving part, but the term 'c**p' came from Thomas Crapper, who is credited with inventing the toilet. Can you imagine his descendants, having their family name associated with defecation?

It's possible the 'taking' part came from the old days when people used to take a walk to the outshouse, they called it "taking the morning constitution" which was a little exercise walking out to the outhouse, fresh air, and of course defecating. so taking a c**p might have come from taking the morning constitution.

  15. its like take the bad stuff

    help me?
