Where did these names come from?

what kind of names are Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae for a business....I've heard of Fannie Mae before....after the two together....sounds so black/ghetto.....is Freddie, Fannie's pimp....I'm only asking this question because, I was wondering if anyone else was thinking the same thing......

The names are nicknames derived from acronyms of the company's actual names, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) and Federal National Mortgage Corporation (Fannie Mae).
