if a victorian is standing on the victorian side of the border and a south australian is standing on the south australian side of the border, and the victorian shoots the south australian and the south australian drops dead on SA turf, where does the crime take place.

  6. The crime takes place in Victoria. The death was not the crime but the shooting of the gun was. It's not a crime to die, but it is a crime to shoot a gun with the intention of killing someone.  The victim was in SA - the murderer (the crime) was in Victoria.

    That's my look on it anyway..
