Question:

Where did you find your veil? I want a bargain, but worried about buying online?

Did you get your veil at a bridal shop? If so, about how much did you pay?

If you ordered your offline, what site did you use and were you happy with the way it looked in person?

Or any other ideas to save on the veil would be greatly appreciated!! I don't see me paying a couple hundred dollars for the veil...

  1. They are SO easy to make!  I just bought some tool, some satin ribbon for the edging and hand sewed it.  I hot-glued on some diamonds and attached it to a hair comb.  It was so easy and it looked just like the ones you buy in the store, but a couple hundred dollars cheaper!  The whole thing took me a couple hours to do while I watched tv.

  2. I actually went to JoAnn's (a craft and fabric store) to get mine. It only cost me about 15 or 20 dollars and I definately love it.

  3. They're stupid-easy to make.  I'm no seamstress, and I made my double-layer, elbow-length, pearl-ribbon-edged veil myself in part of an afternoon for less than $15 worth of materials.  You can find free, easy instructions on-line (put "making a wedding veil" into any search engine).

  4. I got mine from the website another poster mentioned:

http://www.obridal.com (also known as occansey designs)

Great work with awesome prices and quick shipping and definitely the most popular online veil maker/dealer.

Other well reviewed sites with good prices are

  5. Don't buy one at bridal store. They are a rip off.

Try enchantment4all on Ebay. I bought two there and they were great quality.

  6. Ebay is definately worth taking a look at! You can check seller feedback too which makes buying easy. Also, you could make your own if you know how to sew. Its actually quite easy and saves money.

  7. I bought mine at the bridal boutique where I bought my gown. It was a fingertip veil with small tiara and was close to 100.

I just saw these the other day -

Yes, Wilton, the candy people! Amazing prices $10 and up

  8. Try occanseydesigns.com.

Or go to a craft store/Walmart, find tulle that you like, take it to your seamstress and ask her to make it into a veil for you (with any lace/crystals/etc. you may want on it).

  9. I know you feel uneasy about using ebay, but I strongly reccomend you checking into it.  I'm certain you can find exactly what you're looking for at a great price.  I got my flower girls tulle for under her dress off ebay for $20 instead of the $90 a local store was going to charge me.

My veil, I bought at my wedding dress shop, and I payed $175, reason being there were crystals hand sewn into it, but it was still expensive, and I got my headpiece (tiara) from there as well.  It's all such expensive stuff, so try and find a deal when you can.

  10. You can make one.

  11. I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $6.99 and another $6 for the tiara and it was really pretty.

  12. If you (or someone you know) are slightly handy with a needle you can make your veil.  Just make sure you get the tulle from a bolt & not those folded packs; you'll never be able to get the creases out.

i bought it here.i got the 2nd 1. i luved it. u should ttly buy it. happy an awsome wedding......

  14. I can't remember the exact website I purchased mine on, but it was $15.00 and it is perfect for what I need.  Shipping was an additional $4.00.  The veil came in about 4 days.  It was great.
