  1. I remember that programme, was it really that long ago! i was only 11, i shouldnt of watched that!

Anyway, my daughter is called Carla Olivia, she's named after my mum who was killed in a car crash with my dad nearly 6 years ago, my fiance gave her her second name, god knows where that comes from but thats us!

  2. my daughters name is madison my partner and i saw a girl named madison on an episode of Csi. her middle name is Ami as my mums name is beverley but that didn't sound right and everyone calls her lee we didn't want it to sound boyish so we added ami.confusing but it means something to us.

  3. i couldnt decide what to name my daughter, i didnt like any of the names in the baby book and the only one that stuck out to me and that i liked was Leona!everyone always asks did we name her after the singer Leona Lewis which gets pretty annoying after a while as we didnt name her after her lol

  4. It's a fairly common name in my family (his first name). His middle name is his father's name. His first name was also the first name I called out when he was born, and I saw I'd had a son!!

  5. My daughter is called Courtney Mae Rose.

Courtney was chosen by my partner. We had it down to 2 names and he loved that one so we went for it.

Mae Rose is after his grandmother who sadly passed away not long before our daughter was born

  6. we didn't know what we were having, and so had a shortlist of 10 names for either s*x.  When my daughter was born, I looked at all the names we had picked, and didn't really think any of them suited her.  My husband was all for going to sleep (it was 2.30 am) and deciding later on in the morning.  Me on the other hand, needed to decide NOW!  So we started at A, and read out the names from a book, one after another.  Eventually, she was named Lucy Megan, at about 4.30 in the morning!

  7. Well Ali got her name from my gran who died when i was 12, Lily from a book i read and Chris form one of my favorite tv shows =]

  8. My husbands brother passed away serving In Iraq last year.  His first name starts with McK  so our daughter got a spin on her name and it's McKayla.

man someones a grump @ss for givin thumbs down on what Other people name their kids!!!  grow up people!

  9. My husband had never wanted kids, so imagine his surprise when he found out I was having his baby 3 months into our relationship!

He had always loved the name, Zoe, though, so I allowed him to have Zoe. I wanted to name her Jade Lily, but he hated Jade. He had originally wanted Delenda, after an album he got the day the test came back positive. I did not want Delenda, but agreed that it could be a middle name, as long as Jade could be a middle name.

So, we agreed on Zoe Delenda Jade.

We also discussed boys names while pregnant with her, and it's a good thing we did. We have a boy coming in December, and we could not agree on girls names for the life of us.

Tradition in my family is to give the firstborn son his father's name as his middle name, so we knew Michael would be the middle name and we danced around that. We could only agree on Phoenix and Isaiah for boys names, but my husband didn't like Phoenix as a first name.

So, we agreed. Our son is going to be Isaiah Michael Phoenix.

  10. Benjamin after Benjamin Bunny. Beatrix Potter is a distant relative.

Ruthie after the book and film 'Housekeeping'

Esther after the lead in Meet me in St Louis.

  11. We love old fashioned names and were struggling for ages to think of a boy's name that we both liked.  Then my Grandad passed away a few months before my son was born and his middle name was Henry.  I'd never known before and we both really liked it.  It was old fashioned and also has the added sentimental side of it that my Grandad's name lives on through my son.

  12. i named her after my childhood doll, she went everywhere with me she was my constant buddy thru hard times so i gave my beautiful little girl her name she is called Rosa

  13. My son was named after my dad who passed away while I was pregnant with him. I just reversed the names. So my dad's middle name is my son's first name and his middle name was my dad's first name. Joseph Raymond.

My oldest daughter's name is Audrey Rayne. We picked Audrey because it is a beautiful old fashioned name and we both agreed on it right away. Rayne we chose cause it has Ray in it. Sort of a tribute to my dad and my husband's dad. My youngest daughter's name is Eliana Ray. Again with Ray and we chose Eliana because neither one of us ever heard the name before and we really liked it. I found it on babynamesworld.com. We call her Ellie.

If we ever have another baby I don't know what the name will be but I can tell you that the middle name will have Ray in it.

    bye
