  1. through a friend that used to date him :-o

i know that sounds bad but this was like 2 years before we started seeing each other, we've been togeather for over 8 years now. we have our ups and downs but we manage to keep it togeather ;-)

and yes, i always had the hots for him, even when he was seeing my friend. i knew i was the right one for him then too,, lol

  2. At the bar of our local pub,we'd seen each other around for years but never actually spoken.Once we did we realised we had a lot in common & started dating. It took me almost a year to realise she was 'the one' as I was determined not to fall in love because of past experiences. It's now 10 & a half years later & we're married!

  3. well i've met 'the one' but i'm not married to them.

i met him at school (: around 3 years ago this september.

i didn't realise at once at all lol.

  4. i met him 18 years ago when he worked as a doorman. i walked past the pub and got talking. he came back to mine for a coffee after work and never left. we have now been married for 10 years and have 4 kids. i knew that first night he was the one and he is still my one and only.

  5. ill tell you when i do...

  6. We are not married yet, actually we're not even together.  I know that sounds weird, but we plan on getting married after I finish college.  She lives in California, and I live here in Texas.  We've visited and tried the long distance thing, but we both agreed to just do our own thing until we can be together, but we both know that we are going to be together...it's just right now the timing isn't right.

I met her 10 years ago online.  We just started chatting in a chat room with no intention of a hook up or anything, just friends.  It just slowly progressed from there.  We've talked on the phone, IM'd, emailed, webcamed, snail mailed, sent care packages and cards and stuff, not to mention lots of money on plane tickets, for going on 10 years now.

I'm currently searching jobs in the bay area of California and looking at places to live once I graduate.

  7. We met in the pub when we were teenagers.  I didn't realise it, but apparently he did.  We finally got together in our late 30s, but it took a couple of tries before I agreed with him.

  8. At work, he would come help me work on my engines every six months or so, it took several years for the spark to go off. Once it did everyone knew it would happen except us. We have been married for three years now and it has been great.

  9. im not married yet, but i plan on it...

i met the love of my life on Y!A actually

and i realized the second i started talking to her that she was something special, and the more i talked to her, the more i knew that she is the one i want to be with for the rest of my life

  10. Got in contact via the Internet, but actually met for the first time (by accident) while buying chicken in ASDA

{edit - are you a scam artist?  It's one of security questions Yahoo asks)

  11. She was my boss.  Yes I realize that she is the love of my life, but unfortunately in my state, we aren't able to marry.

  12. On the first day of university...

  13. Actually "met" her on the Internet, I knew straight away she was "THE one." We had such a strong connection without even meeting. However we broke it off after nine months, didn't speak for two years then we came back together again. We started emailing and texting again, phoning each other again all the time, and even though I knew she was the one for me I was really worried we'd never actually meet.

She came to meet me a couple of months later at my house and we went on a date in my local city. The chemistry was electric and we've been together ever since. We live a little over an hour apart away and see each other constantly.

I had a relationship with a female called Sophie* during the two years we didn't speak and with Sophie I just knew it wasn't the same (even though Sophie and I lived closer and didn't meet over the Internet). I always knew Sophie wasn't the one for me and I couldn't wait to see my now girlfriend again.

  14. At work. He bartended and I waitressed. I was 18 and he was 23. We both had significant others and he moved away with his girlfriend. When they broke up he moved back and started bartending again. By then I had broken up with my boyfriend and when he came in for his first night of work we saw each other and instantly hugged. Even though we didn't hang out before he moved we were so happy to see each other. He asked me out on a date a couple of days later. We told each other I love you 3 months into our relationship, moved in with each other 4 months into our relationship and got married a little over a year together.  We've now been married for 5 years and have a daughter who's 8 months old.

I realized he was the love of my life as soon as I saw him walk in the door after he moved back. We still act like we just got married, hugging and kissing and saying I love you like 50 times a day. That's what keeps us strong.

  15. My brother introduced us. My partner work with him.

  16. I met her four years ago in Barcelona at a conference. Never ever did I suspect/expect/dream that we would one day share a bed let alone our lives. It was all so bloody formal it made me sick and she came to ask whether I was all right. I was quite rude and told her to shut up. She did at the time, but she couldn’t resist phoning me and asking me out for dinner a couple of weeks later. So it pays off to be rude once in a while. I am so bloody happy at the mo!

ADD: Oh yes we are not married (yet), but if smelly nappies fill our laundry room we certainly will.

  17. at school. :)

  18. met because of school but got together after graduation.

  19. havnt yet but i hope i do and i hope i do realise the first time i see him or her

  20. VJ night.  August 15th, 1945.

He asked me the time but my watch was broken.  My reply "it doesn't function".  He said "is that the language they teach you at Grammar School?"

I can still remember the exact words.  I don't know if we would have stayed together, he died under anaesthetic - appendicectomy.

It was my first kiss, my first love.  Very sweet, very sad looking back.
