Please answer ONLY if you personally have set up a registry. Where did you do it, and what was your experience?

Details like, I heard target gives some trouble with returns, etc.

Thank you

  1. We registered at Target and Crate and Barrel.

We never had problems returning stuff for Target but our guest included a gift receipt. I imagine you run into problems when you don't have a receipt. That will happen at any store.  I've returned stuff to Target many times and it has always been a breeze.

We only got a few items from Crate and Barrel. We ordered some big red wine glasses and they were shipped to us. They were really fragile but none of them broke, so they did a good job packing their merchandise.

Both places were easy. We did Crate and barrel online. We did Target at the store with the scanner thing. I would recommend both.

  2. I used Target, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and Wal-Mart.

I didn't have to return anything, so I don't know how they all work with that.... The only thing about Wal-Mart is that the stuff in the store is completely different than the stuff online. So, if you're registering there, you really have to add things online and in the store.

Target was kinda cool because they gave me a tote bag and some other free things when I registered!

  3. We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, and our experience with them was great.

  4. well we did walmart( thats about all in my town) and they are great with returns and they actually had some good stuff

we also did bed, bath and beyond and also circuit city( for a dvd player, surround system, movies and other misc.)

  5. Macy's

    Bed Bath and Bayond

    Target

I have also heard that Target gives a hassle for returns, but Macys is really good about it.

  6. Bed Bath and Beyond is great and of course Walmart...

  7. My best friend is getting married the end of August and I have helped her register a couple places like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, JC Penny, Sears, and Belk. We even registered at Lowes and HomeDepot, because it's not all about the bride, now is it? Basically it should be places that are in your town or the general vicinity. Like I said she hasn't gotten married yet, and I have not had any experience in this, other than registering. I have noticed that some of the sites shown above are helpful and they make things somewhat easier than other sites. Overall it has been pretty simple and actually kind of fun. By the way, Victoria's Secret is a great place to register if you are having a Bridal Shower with a lingere theme. Go have fun shopping. I hope you get everything you wish for!

  8. We did Macy's and Target.

Target was HORRIBLE- I won't even shop there now.  They won't give you an exhange or a refund or return- unless you have the orginal receipt.  I got stuck with wrong stuff (like wrong color) and broken stuff that they refused to replace.  And they are soo rude, they told me I should have ask for all Receipts- how tacky!

Macy's was wonderfully and they are affordable- I had things for $10-$30 as well as larger items on there.  They have great sales and give your guest coupons!  They take anything back- with or without reciept and will replace ANYTHING damaged with no questions asked!  They offer great programs like you get money back on every gift someone buys you!  We got a $100 in bonus points to buy the rest of my china!

They have plans were you buy 10 glasses and they give you one free!

They were great- I wish they carried more baby stuff so I could use them again!
