I am having trouble finding a job and it seems nobody wants to hire me because of the jobs I used to have. I worked at Mcdonalds for 4 years and I walked out one day because I was getting blamed for alot of stuff that didn't happen and they always giving me extra work to do even when my shift is done. Then I worked at a gas station for 9 months and got fired and I have not worked since 2006. I need help to support my 4 year old son. His father only pays $220 a month for child support and that only helps alittle because he doesn't make much at his job and its not his fault and he can't work 2 anyways. We don't live together and I live with my father and both of us are trying to pay bills and its been getting hard. I have been applying everywhere but nobodys wants to help me.? So is there a place where some can help me fina a job or how do I support my son on welfare? I don't understand the welfare system very much? Do they loan money until you find a job and is there a limit.

  1. You should have a Dept of Human services, DHS or call social security office and they will tell you, without a doubt.===

  2. Your town should have a community office building. I think that is where you go, probably in the health department section of the building. Good luck, it's tough out there, isn't it! There was a time I was thinking about welfare when I was going through a hard time, but I wasn't eligible because I don't have a child.

  3. my mom had the same problem

she suffers from a debilitating disease.

    its really hard,

i'm not quite sure HOW you apply exactly

  4. have you tried craigslist.com for a job?

for wellfare check out your city's webpage. the application and acceptance/denial process takes a while but if you're a single parent your chances should be high. they don't loan you money but they give you a monthly allowance + child support i think + food stamps which you can you at your local grocery store for food.

    good luck!
