My son is 6years old and was in an aba based private school in texas.I currently want to start a home based aba program but need info on the proper way to start,and what to tell school district?

  1. There will be specific requirements that you will have to comply with to measure your students success and there is likely a home school support group in Texas that can help you.

    How will you get your son the social interaction skills that are critical and important to do at a young age - will be the challenge.  Any programs that isolate your child from peers totally has little value for his future success as an adult so make sure you have some plan for that.


  2. You need to tell the school district that you will home school.  Depending on state you may be monitored by the school district or an outside entity.  BTW don't expect any help from the School district.  Start by searching out home school groups in your area and work up a program.
