I just installed a re-installation Windows Professional CD to my computer. All of my drivers and files are listed under the hardware tab, but I still cannot hear any sound. What links from Microsoft do I need to have downloaded in order to make this work?

Also, my icons and just my computer windows in general are super large, and they are quite annoying, how do I fix this?

Thanks!!!

  1. The drivers you need to make your sound and video work (as well as everything else that probably needs a driver) all depend on your computer, and the parts it is made of.  Once you know the make and model of your computer, you can go to the manufacturers website, go to their software and download section (usually in support), put in your model of computer, and download the driver installation programs.

You then run those installation programs, and you will have sound, a better looking desktop, and all the rest of the functionality you need.

FOr example (these will NOT work for your computer, I am just making this concrete for you)

if it was an HP laptop, model zv5320us, you would first visit

    http://www.hp.com/

    then

    http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/supp...

then you would type in zv5320us into the box and click the arrow, which would bring you to

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...

which would require you to click on the windows XP link and you would go to

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...

and you would have your drivers... IF your computer was an HP zv5320us laptop

  2. You are missing all the drivers by the description.

you need to know what hardware are inside the computer or make/model of your computer.
