  1. Cafe Marley, at the Louvre is amazing

as well as Le Avenue (which may require a reservation)

  2. the bistros are good as well as Angelinas, Le Cirque, and restaurants in Le Madeline district.  You really need to read menus outside of each and see what you are in the mood for.  Even the street vendors with paninis are excellent.  It is Paris and everything is good!!

  3. Paris is expensive.

    Good restaurants are VERY expensive.

Frankly 2 weeks will not leave you very much from 2385 Euros for shopping

The standard of food in Bistros,Wine Bars and family restaurants is great !

Just pick any smaller restaurant (preferably in a side street as they have to try harder to stay in business)

Avoid the Major Tourist Areas - Montmartre,Tour Eiffel, Opera

Try instead restaurants around Les Halles and La Bastille for good value honest cooking.

Buy a Visit Paris Ticket from a tourist office or Metro station for unlimited travel on Metro and buses. This will save you a lot of money.

There is an excellent self-service restaurant under the Louvre Pyramid. This is a food court with French and lots of different nationalities foods.

Shopping around Les Halles is pretty good for most things.
