Question:

Where do I find a CD player for a special ed child?

My daughter is a special needs child, and needs a cd player that cannot be turned up too loud...she rides the bus 90 minutes each way to school, and wants music, but does not understand the consequences of playing it too loud, and plays the cd player so loud I can hear it across the room!

I took it away, but would love to replace it with one that can't be turned up too loud. Any suggestions?

  1. instead of buying a new one try either getting cheaper ear plugs (they usualyl don't get as loud)

or just tape over (or use so much glue on it it makes a thick coat) the volume control button so she can't adjust it

  2. I have been trying to find something for a long time, and this is all i could come up with. I found some earphones with volume control, but i dont know how that would work!

    or

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...

good luck, i hope this helps!

  3. Have you tried looking in the toy isle?  They have some at walmart for little children (also have pretty colors)  That have a way where you can control how loud they can turn it up to. for example if it goes up to 10 and you think 5 is loud enough than you can stop it there, and some have a low loud that is just how it comes from the factory.

  4. you dont have to buy a whole other cd player, they have headphones that have volume limits, just ask your local electronics retailer

  5. Could you just not get her headphones so only she can hear her music?

  6. I have a special needs child that we bought a kid tough mp3 player for. I can't find it right now (her brother got ahold of it) but I'm pretty sure it limits the volume.
