Is there a web site that shows leased land for oil companys. The areas that are being developed. The leased areas that are non productive. Numbers of dry holes. Projected reserves.

Number of leases in the last 20 years. etc

There is a lot of banter by both sides on wether to open more area to drill. I would like to research this myself. Any good web sites with good charts?

  1. Here is a link to the top 100 producing fields in the US from the Dept. of Energy http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/natur...

    Here's a breakdown by states http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petro...

This is the main petroleum page for the host site (they keep official energy statistics for the government) http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum...

It's a good place to start, and look around if the above links don't have enough info.

There's no ownership information that I could find, but maybe with some digging you'll have some luck.
