Where do I find a safe and cheap/free card recovery program?

I accidently hit the "delete all" button on a digital camera a couple of days ago. I took one more picture before I realized what had happened. It's not my camera and I really need those pictures back. I have looked up some card recovery programs but I'm worried about viruses and such when I download them. Does anyone know of one that is safe and cheap/free? Thanks a lot!
